By , November 6, 2013

Suffering from a gluten intolerance is an extremely common problem, but due to the wide range of side effects that come from not being able to digest gluten, many people put their symptoms down to something else.

If you’re feeling unwell and suspect that you might be gluten intolerant, have a look at the list of symptoms below to help you find some answers:

1. Digestive problems such as gas, bloating, diarrhoea, cramping and even constipation.

2. Keratosis Pilaris, which is skin condition causing rough or bumpy skin on the back of your arm. It doesn’t usually itch or cause irritation.

3. Feeling tired and weak after eating a meal that contains gluten.

4. Diagnosis of an autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Ulcerative colitis, Lupus, Psoriasis, Scleroderma or Multiple sclerosis.

5. Neurologic symptoms such as dizziness or having difficulty balancing. Other indicators might be bad headaches and migraines, particularly after consuming gluten.

6. Inflammation, swelling or pain in your joints such as fingers, knees or hips.

7. Suffering from anxiety, depression, mood swings and being very irritable.
