Fabulous Spa and Facilities

"A group of us escaped to Galway for a girlie weekend away from the kids ! and found the Loughrea Hotel and Spa. We got a great deal with the hotel for overnight stay with dinner and treatments. The spa was so tranquil and relaxing one of the best thermal areas I have been in. The Jacuzzi, steam room, relaxation rooms were all together. Treatment rooms were comfortable. Great value on packages, the girls were really accommodating on our requests. We had a lovely lunch in the Lir bar after excellent food and then spend the evening on the rooftop bar and sky lounge sipping cocktails, with great views of galway and loughrea lake. A relaxing weekend away to say the least pure bliss would definitely recommend.."

Lovely spa but let's itself down......

"The Spa has very relaxing atmosphere. Thermal suite is very nice. Staff are lovely. I had a hot stone back massage and my therapist was fantastic.
However it is the small details that let this spa down in comparison to other spas I've been to in Ireland. There is a place in the thermal suite to sit and put your feet but the spa do not provide salt scrub. First time I've been to spa that did not provide this at foot basins. I don't see the purpose of the foot basins without the scrub.
The spa provides water to guests but no healthy snacks in the relaxation rooms so bring your own. Again something I have never experienced in a spa before. Usually there is water, teas, fresh fruit, dried fruits and nuts.
The spa charges a fee if you want to change your robe to a dry/ warm one. This is crazy. Dry robes, slippers, extra towels should be left around the spa. Overall- good.

"this is a fantastic spa. it was at full occupancy and we felt like we were the only people there. the treatments were really relaxing.
The Rooms are great really nice colour scheme. the bar was average, as was the dinner. but the spa is really great i spent two solid days in it and came out a new man. overall i am going back at some point over the summer."
