Origins is a plant-based skincare brand that harnesses the power of nature to treat various skin conditions. Products are available for everything from anti-ageing to oil control.
Origins aims to create high-performance natural skincare that is powered by nature and proven by science. The brand believes that nature has demonstrated its healing properties over billions of years of existence, showing unmatched abilities to adapt and survive in the most adverse of environments.
The company as a whole has a number of earth and animal-friendly policies in place, and products are free from parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA (a chemical sunscreen), petroleum, paraffin, DEA, synthetic colours and fragrances, and all animal ingredients.
What they do contain is active plants, 100% natural essential oils and certified organic ingredients. Products are manufactured using renewable resources, wind energy and, where possible, recycled materials.
Products for the face include cleansers, exfoliators, moisturisers, masks, serums, toners, eye and lip care, and treatment lotions. Options are available for anti-ageing, oil control, firming and lifting, dark spot reduction, sensitivity and re-hydration. A range of body moisturisers, scrubs, washes and deodorants are also available, as are and hair, sun, and hand and foot care lines.
The brand also runs a Plant a Tree campaign which aims to restore areas damaged by wildfire and improve air and water cleanliness. The belief behind this campaign is that the well-being of the planet is vital to the people who live on it.
