Ashford Castle Given the Go-Ahead for New Spa

Galway County Council have granted Ashford Castle planning permission to expand the 5 star hotel in the form of an extravagant new spa.
Overlooking the stunning scenery of Lough Corrib, the 5 star castle is set on 350 acres in the Cong area which takes in both Co. Mayo and Co. Galway. As part of an in-depth refurbishment, The Spa will undergo a huge transformation.
According to Galway Bay FM, The Spa will be built over 3 levels featuring a conservatory ozone filtrated swimming pool, a fitness suite, 4 new treatment rooms and an outdoor terrace.
The Spa, which currently offers a wide range of treatments including brands such as Elemis, Dermalogica, Voya and Yon Ka, is definitely one to keep an eye on in 2015.
Already a spot frequented by celebrities and dignitaries, we’re sure Ashford Castle is set to become a favourite among spas in Mayo and Galway.
