But this Halloween, why not save your pumpkin leftovers and mess and use it to make a tasty traditional Halloween meal for the family?<\/p>\n<p>Most people make a pumpkin soup, so we decided to mix it up a bit and give you a few new, exciting recipes that you probably haven\u2019t tried before.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Creamy Pumpkin Pasta With Rosemary<\/strong> <em>via\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/food\/recipes\/pumpkinpastawithrose_14519\">BBC Food Recipes<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>340g or 12oz of pasta spirals\/shells\/conchiglie\/fusilli<\/li>\n<li>1 small pumpkin<\/li>\n<li>2 sprigs of fresh rosemary<\/li>\n<li>1 clove of garlic<\/li>\n<li>1 shallot<\/li>\n<li>140ml of double cream (regular cream is fine if you don\u2019t want to be too naughty)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of Dijon mustard<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of freshly chopped flatleaf parsley<\/li>\n<li>30-55g butter<\/li>\n<li>150ml of white wine<\/li>\n<li>The juice of half a lemon<\/li>\n<li>Grated parmesan to sprinkle<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How it\u2019s done:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat the oven 190C\/Gas Mark 5.<\/li>\n<li>Peel and de-seed the pumpkin. Dice into 2.5cm and place onto an ovenproof sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Chop the rosemary and sprinkle over the pumpkin. Season and drizzle with olive oil.<\/li>\n<li>Place in the oven and cook for 45 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Cook the pasta in plenty of salted boiling water as per instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Chop the garlic and shallot, gently pan-fry in the butter for about 1 minute.<\/li>\n<li>Add the mustard and wine, bring to the boil. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the lemon juice, salt and pepper, cream and finally the parsley.<\/li>\n<li>Drain the pasta and remove the pumpkin from the oven. Pop the pasta into a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Pour over the sauce and mix together. Check seasoning. Serve in a bowl with the parmesan cheese over the top.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And for dessert, why not try these <strong>delicious pumpkin glazed cookies<\/strong> <em>via\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pumpkinrecipes.org\/glazed-pumpkin-cookies.html\">Pumpkin Recipes<\/a><\/em>? You could even give them out to trick-or-treaters\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For the cookies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup of butter<\/li>\n<li>1 cup of sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 cup of pureed cooked pumpkin<\/li>\n<li>1 medium egg<\/li>\n<li>2 cups of plain flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of baking soda<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of vanilla essence<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For the icing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup of brown sugar<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup of milk<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>3 tblsp of butter<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 cup of icing sugar<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\u00be tsp of vanilla essence<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How it\u2019s done:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat the oven to 180C\/Gas Mark 4.<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add the pureed cooked pumpkin and beated egg and mix well.<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In a different bowl, sift together the rest of the dry ingredients. Add to the pumpkin mixture and blend well.<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Shape the dough into 1 inch balls and flatten into cookie shapes. Place on a greased\/lined baking tray and baked until golden brown, for about 11 minutes.<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>To make the icing, combine the brown sugar, milk and butter in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.
