Ever go to a bottle of nail varnish to find that it’s gone all clumpy, or to a tube of mascara and find that it has dried out? Not to worry, we have some great tips that you can use to make sure you get the most out of your makeup.
You know the thrill you get when you find a fiver in a pair of jeans you haven’t wore in a while? Well when you think one of your makeup items is finished or empty and then you discover you can get another week or two out of it, you’ll get the same little thrill.
1. When you think your mascara has dried up, try this…
Rescue a tube of dried up mascara with a mug of boiling water. Make sure the tube is firmly closed and allow it to steep in the boiling water for 5 minutes and your mascara will be miraculously revived. Not only that, but it will be much smoother and more clump-free than before.
3. When your nail varnish becomes sticky and clumpy, it can be rescued
Instead of throwing it in the bin, add a drop of nail varnish remover to the bottle and shake vigorously and you should have lovely smooth nail varnish again. Make sure to only apply a drop to begin with because too much could make it too runny. If you feel it needs another drop after the first one, go on ahead.
3. Cut open tubes of makeup to get all the product out
If you use tubes of foundation, don’t throw it away when it refuses to be squeezed out anymore. Instead cut open the tube and scrape out any remaining foundation into a tub. You’ll be surprised at how much extra product you will get out by doing this simple trick.
4. Stick your broken powders/blushes back together
One thing that is sure to ruin your day and probaly has on many occasions is when your new expensive blusher or bronzing powder falls and shatters into hundreds of pieces. Never fear, adding a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the pieces will allow you to press the pieces back together into place and they will reset in the product’s metal pan.
